As a freelance artist, Barbara Simpson creates original and custom designed commissioned fine art pieces at her studio and gallery in Millbrook.  

She teaches classes to youth and adults at her studio as well as classes for Auburn University Montgomery through the continuing education program at the Creative Arts Center in Prattville, Alabama. 

Her design skills are evidenced through her murals and decorative painting in homes and businesses and in her hand-painted linens, wall hangings, floor cloths, and window treatments.  From baby nurseries to corporate signs, she will create a one-of-a-kind custom design just for you.

Alabama State Council on the Arts Gallery, Montgomery, Alabama.  Encore Images from Birmingham Art Association 100 years of Diversity in Art exhibit and from Montgomery Art Guild.  On exhibit mid January through February 28, 2009, Monday-Friday 8:00am until 5:00pm during normal business hours.  

Drawing on Alabama.   Exhibit featuring 33 Alabama artists and juried by Maura Lynch of Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.  Exhibiting:

        January 13-February 28, 2009, Biggin Hall at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. 

        March 13-May 5, 2009, Space 301, Mobile, Alabama.
